Today’s pastel edit aiming for a yellow glowing field and ambient color

Borrego Springs is down the hill and to the right from where I live. There is an ancient spring, from prehistoric times, that used to feed into the Salton Sea, which is now about 30 miles away. The whole dry seabed is monumental and beautiful. In the spring it is loaded with golden flowers.
I tried to create a yellow ambient bowl, as if the bright yellow was rising from the field and infiltrated the air between us and the hills. I would like to have this location (near Palm Desert in Southern California) on our itinerary for my plein air workshop this fall.
